“You are Wonderful“
I loved this true story!
Several years ago in the Paris opera house, a very famous singer who was originally contracted to sing at a completely sold-out concert hall fell sick.
Now the audience were excited and filled to the brim with anticipation of this singer’s appearance and performance.
So when they heard the host of the show announce, “Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for your enthusiastic support. I am afraid that due to illness, the man whom you’ve all come to hear will not be performing tonight. However, we have found a suitable substitute we hope will provide you with comparable entertainment”, the audience felt utterly disappointed and started expressing their anger and frustration.
The stand-in performer obviously grateful for this amazing opportunity but filled with the pressure of now filling in the shoes of a highly anticipated, renowned performer and that coupled with the fright and stress of going on-stage live in front of a crowd who were venting their frustration; he still gave everything he had.
Finally, when he had finished, there was just a lot of nerve wrecking tension in that hall filled with complete silence.
It seems not even a single person from the audience applauded.
All of a sudden, out of the blue, a kid, a little boy stood up and at the top of his voice shouted, “Daddy, I think you are wonderful!”
Within moments, the entire audience it seems broke into one massive thunderous applause.
Whether it is your life as a homemaker taking care of your loved ones, running the house and keeping everything and everyone in order and happy all the time OR an employee who is working really hard to grow in their organization OR an entrepreneur who is giving it all that he or she should in order to survive, grow and succeed OR an individual fighting the odds of every day life, stress and hardships; we all need someone from time to time to stand by our side and simply tell us, at least once, “You are wonderful.“
Who knows, those words might have a ripple effect and everyone around you would start believing it too!
Words are extremely powerful. They are even more powerful when they come from someone you are close to. It could be your family, friends, colleagues, peers, loved ones, subordinates or even your boss.
So choose them wisely, because you could make or break the lives of those around.
So go ahead, take a few moments of your busy routine today and try saying these three simple, powerful and yet wonderful words to someone.
Who knows, you might just make their day because believe it or not, more than you being eager to say it, there is always someone deserving while impatiently hoping and waiting to hear someone say it to them too!
And on that note, Thank you all dear friends and readers for being a part of my Blog and this reading community. I hope I am able to add something valuable each day.
THANK YOU all, you are truly wonderful!
Have a great weekend.
