Blog now and live forever #BNLF
Blog Now Live Forever or more popularly known to the digital world today as BNLF, was a fantastic success.
‘Twitter trend’ showcased #BNLF #BNLFatTheLalit and these hashtags soared through the millions of conversations of this two day global event organized by Indiblogger on 31st Oct and 1st Nov 2015 in Mumbai, India at The Lalit Hotels.
Over the past few years, I have been a speaker (Ananth V – link) at varied corporate and Live events on the topics of Digital Marketing and Social media ROI for both Corporate and institutions, but this time, I was attending this event as an ‘audience’.
Well, I usually don’t get to attend too many events due to my traveling schedule and my work at my Founding and award winning digital agency Techdivine Creative Services, but this event was well, different. Why?
I checked out the list of speakers. In that list, I saw three names and I found myself gearing up to attend this global blogging event. The names of the speakers which got me hooked in the first 30 seconds of visiting the site were:
- Christoph Trappe – Who has been awarded, IMA Marketer of the Year – 2015 and whose blog authenticstorytelling.net has been one of my personally cherished blog sites for quite some time.
- Jeff Bullas, the marketing blogger who is Ranked #8 on Forbes – The World’s Top 40 Social Marketing Talent – 2014 and his blog jeffbullas.com which I have been following for a very very very…. long time. I have learnt a lot from him over the years following his work and posts.
- And finally, the iconic, the man, the legend – Bruce Dickinson screamforme.com lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Iron Maiden (Do I even need to say that!). The lead singer and front man of Iron Maiden Fencing, Flying airplanes, Aviation, Hosting Radio and TV shows, Authoring novels and so much more!
This was an opportunity of a lifetime as the event was hosting a MASTER CLASS to learn from literally the best in the industry about social media, blogging, digital marketing etc, from the best in the industry, i.e. Jeff Bullas and Christoph Trappe.
The indicrew that organized the event was spectacularly hospitable. The host Anoop was immensely kind and welcoming and the event lit up with electrifying energy as Nadisha Thomas hit rocking music notes as a fabulous curtain raiser with an awesome rock band.
Quick highlights from the entire event:
I loved the presentation from Purba Ray. She was filled with zeal, responded with great wit, shared some very interesting insights and her blog is truly a smack in the face of pretentious hypocrites as it shares posts about the realities of life with great humor and creative writing. It was an energizing experience to listen to her strong views on feminism and topics about, well, almost every certainty that surrounds our routine. Loved it.

Preeti Shenoy’s presentation was another wonderfully refreshing experience. She is yet another renowned blogger and a celebrated author with six best sellers listed among Forbes List of 100 most influential celebrities of India (2013) edition. One could see smiles and nods from every attendee as she spoke on that splendid stage.

Ofcourse, nothing beats being in the same place as the iconic Bruce. Sitting in front of him, listening to him speak…. All of it will be a cherished memory forever. I am sure everyone was mesmerized by the energy of this legend turned successful entrepreneur and for each of his million fans across the globe, he is without a doubt, an ICON! As a fan of his music since decades and as a humble ‘star struck devotee’ attending this event, I can sum up the ‘BRUCE experience’ in just one word “Unbelievable”. Someday, hopefully in the not so distant future, I would love to share the stage with him and discuss three things: “Music, entrepreneurship and about well, being BRUCE.”
My personal favorites in terms of blogging and “Learning” were ofcourse, the Master Class sessions from both, Jeff Bullas and Christoph Trappe who enlightened hundreds of bloggers across India with their vast experience, knowledge, shared some very personal memories, experiences of their lives, trade secrets and powerful tools & strategies that I am sure have empowered each participant attending the event.
I noted down every tool tip, points, helpful guides, links and resources that both of them shared and honestly, it was an exceptionally brilliant learning experience. THANK YOU Jeff and Christoph.
A sincere thanks and kudos to the entire Indicrew for bringing together two such amazingly brilliant digital marketing social media professionals and to give this opportunity to actually learn from them face to face.
BNLF was truly a global digital marketing event with the heart and true essence of a blogger.
It was inspiring and a wonderfully refreshing learning experience that has for sure added tremendous value to me personally, especially after learning from the best in the industry (Jeff & Christoph).
THANKS TO INDICREW “Anoop Johnson, Nihal Lazarus, Nandita Thomas, Swati Maheshwari, Saurabh Jindal, Naveen J Vadakkan, Vinoth Berkmons, Sainath Krishnan, Jesuwin Thilak, Vineet Rajan, Renie Ravin, Karthik Dhandapani Radha and Diana Samson”

I would like to conclude this post by sharing one quote that fits everything I have always believed in life and something that BNLF surely stood for:
“Life is too short to do the things you don’t love doing ~ Bruce Dickinson”
